BBL Construction began as Buchheit Buildings LTD. Specializing in the sale and erection of post frame farm and commercial buildings, it was located at the Buchheit Inc. lumber and hardware store.
The rapidly growing Buchheit Buildings LTD was relocated to a larger space near Biehle, MO, which included offices, lumber storage buildings and a truss manufacturing facility.
The company became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) when the employees purchased 79% of the company from Kenny and Rudy Buchheit, and the name was changed to BBL Buildings and Components Ltd.
BBL Buildings and Components Ltd became a 100% ESOP Company when the employees purchased the remainder of the company from Paul Hinshaw.
As the business grew, BBL Buildings and Components moved into a larger space in Perryville, MO. Already under BBL ownership, the property contained a recently-built truss manufacturing facility.
BBL Buildings and Components merged with Energy Panel Structures (EPS) and operated through them for the next four years. Although the ownership may have changed, the core of BBL stayed the same.
EPS discontinued erecting buildings and sold the assets of the construction division. The newly independent company was established as BBL Construction Inc. and relocated to its current location.
Now owned by Richard Schemel and Dale Schemel, this change of ownership allows BBL to provide a wider range of building specifications as well as turnkey projects including concrete by BBL crews.
Although ownership has changed, the heart of BBL has not. We have always retained the key personnel required to continue the commitment to provide high quality construction projects to our customers.
